Like everything, Paris evolves, but let’s not see the worst and keep the best. This is the great return of Paris’s crazy projects. As a reminder, Paris will be the home of the Olympic Games in 2024 and hopes, by then, to have time to reinvent itself. Starting with Canal Saint-Denis which will be developed in three places including the Maltournée basin.
Work is increasing
The Maltournée basin is going to get a makeover. Located below Avenue Président Wilson in Saint-Denis, it is already the subject of numerous projects. A public inquiry was opened to users to make suggestions until February 4. So what is on the program? The current ground with ball-stop nets will be replaced by a reception area for all kinds of sports and cultural activities, new entrances will be installed to make the spot more accessible and a barrier between the cycle path and the pedestrian path will be set up to avoid accidents.
